Who else here can’t get enough of this buffalo check print?? Or wait is it buffalo plaid? Tartan? Whatever it is called, it is pretty, and it is everywhere! Of course my Christmas centerpiece wouldn’t be complete without it.
Since Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, it is hard for me to hold off on decorating. Life is short, why wait? I headed off to Target for inspiration… and well, we now the rest goes. You don’t simply go in to Target without snagging some pretty things.
That is right my friends, ALL of these decorations are from Target. It doesn’t get much easier than that! Here’s all my loot:

Christmas Family Traditions: Spreading Cheer with Betty Crocker Cookies
The Holiday Season is upon us! It is my absolute favorite time of year, but it sure is busy isn’t it? As mothers we run things. We get things done, but as I am strolling up and down the Christmas aisles at Walmart with my littlest one in tow… I start to think about what is really important this season: Christmas family traditions, and spreading cheer. What is a better way to do that than with sugar cookies decorated by tiny humans? Haha. They might not be pretty and perfect, but they are cute and delicious!
The last 2 years my toddler and I have decorated sugar cookies… and of course shared them with guests, but I really want to teach my kids what the Christmas season is all about. They will get to feel how good it is when you spread holiday cheer. We decided to spruce up our sugar cookie game without the stress by using these quick Betty Crocker cookies.
This week I took a trip to my local craft store to re vamp my front door wreath into a fabulous DIY floral fall wreath. Being inspired by some lavender that I found on Amazon, I was on the hunt to make a fall wreath that was different from anything I have ever made. Repurposing my burlap wreath from this summer made it easy because let’s be real… burlap goes with anything! Or maybe I am just a little obsessed. There is burlap in my home décor, there was burlap in my wedding décor… burlap is my friend. Haha.
Cruising through the craft store, one year old in tow grabbing at scarecrows and sunflowers, my mission was complete when I found the most beautiful combination of colors in these premade bouquets. How easy is that? I’ve struck wreath making gold! These little floral arrangements were also fifty percent off, so that sealed the deal.
Motherhood has provided many challenges, with the biggest one for me being housekeeping. I can keep my cool (usually), play and entertain, cook decent food, teach, read to the kids, and whatnot… but then there’s the mess.

If you are looking for some farmhouse style decorating ideas then look no further! This rustic and country type of décor is so hot in the interior design world that you can’t help but want to add some old fashioned pieces to your home. There is just something so cozy and inviting about farmhouses isn’t there?
Can you believe that we are heading into fall? Fall 2016!? Back to school, pumpkin everything, and crisp autumn air… oh how I enjoy this time of year. The seasons changing gets me giddy because I look forward to all of those things of course, but I am even more excited for FALL FASHION. Boots and scarves, maroons and rich browns, oh yes, and the new Stella & Dot Fall Line for 2016! That’s right my friends and fashionistas, see what accessories are trending this season.
Anyone else have “Pizza Friday” at their house? We sure do! Our family loves pizza. Going out for pizza or ordering delivery can take a toll on the budget, so I wanted to try to recreate one of our favorites at home.
Wreath making is fun for every holiday. There’s nothing like hanging up a new wreath that you created. You can use your imagination and inspiration from magazines or craft stores, and get the look you desire. I started making burlap wreaths a couple of years ago for our wedding. It was a rustic feel, so burlap was perfect. You can use ribbon or bandanas like I used for this particular one. I actually wanted to have bandanas going all the way around, but these 4 were all that was left at the store. I decided to work with it, and what I had at home! This wreath is what I came up with. Our front door is 4th of July ready!
About 6 months ago I sent my husband the text. I was home with the kids all week while he was working his tail off for us about 300 miles away. Being at home with the kids is such a blessing because I know that they are well taken care of, and my husband doesn’t have to worry about the kids at all while he’s working. I understand this. I try to stay grateful that I have this opportunity, but after 75 diaper changes, 15 episodes of Paw Patrol, and two toddler meltdowns over the course of 5 days, it is hard.
