This chicken pesto is one of my favorite dishes because it is so simple, and it satisfies without being heavy. The tomato and pesto make it a great summertime dinner, as long as you don’t mind using your oven. When I am in a crunch, this is my go to meal. It only has 4 ingredients! It is probably the easiest thing I make.

Cooking shouldn’t be stressful. Let’s enjoy scrumptious meals with our family without putting so much pressure on ourselves to follow some confusing recipe with a long list of ingredients that we’ve never heard of! If you are cooking impaired then this recipe will be your best friend. Check it out, and prepare to drool (ok, maybe that’s just me haha.)




Chicken Pesto Bake

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Total Time: 50 minutes

Chicken Pesto Bake


  • 1-4 Chicken Breasts
  • 1/2-1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2-3 Roma Tomatoes
  • 1 Packet Pesto Seasoning


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Slice tomatoes
  3. Place desired number of chicken breasts into your baking pan
  4. Sprinkle pesto seasoning over the chicken leaving a light layer on top
  5. Put the sliced tomatoes on top of the seasoned chicken breasts
  6. Cover the top of the entire dish with shredded mozzarella cheese to your liking
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until the chicken is done and the juices run clear
  8. Let cool for 5-10 minutes and enjoy!

    1. Oh yes… this cheesy pesto combination will be perfect for your hubby then. My toddler likes it too. He will eat the tomatoes and cheese off the top, and then he asks me to cut up the chicken.
